Our opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our Melbourne team. Your role will involve leading the overall curation of the asset experience making it a more desired destination for customers and the community, whilst delivering experiential retail, programming, events and activations.
**Your responsibilities are but are not limited to**:
Driving deeper understanding of customer and community needs and expectations through research, analysis and ongoing community engagement;
Championing the customer and community through all aspects of the asset team’s planning, decision making and operations, including delivering the asset’s Community Charter and Stakeholder Communications Management Plan
Strategically positioning the asset experience to ensure a clearly understood value proposition and Experience Vision
Actively collaborating with the asset team including Leasing, Design, Development and Portfolio Management to ensure the product (retail mix, ambience and amenity) delivers against the agreed vision
Developing a unique and locally specific Place DNA that is expressed through all aspects of the experience to foster its distinct local character and local appeal
Owning the guest journeys to ensure the easiest, best and most enjoyable experiences at every touchpoint
Developing and implementing innovative multi-channel programs and activations that drive increased traffic, enhance the guest experience and create opportunities for retailers and brand partners to engage effectively with key audience groups
Developing strategic community and brand partnerships, in collaboration with the Commercial Partnerships team, to enable the experience vision
Identifying, creating and supporting the selling of new revenue opportunities through strategic positioning of mall assets, media assets, and mall programming
Developing and executing the annual marketing plan which supports National Marketing objectives,
Annual budgeting based on retailer contributions, national allocations and discretionary expenses as appropriate to achieve asset objectives and support national initiatives.
Flawlessly delivering all brand and national programs at the local level to optimise engagement from customers, community, retailers and partners;
Coordinating all visual merchandising, signage and advertising programs to the highest standards of creativity and presentation and in line with the asset positioning and Place DNA;
Developing and implementing retailer intensification strategies. Promoting extension opportunities to retailers and securing retailer participation to enhance programming;
Collaborating with the guest services team (where applicable) to ensure that all services are developed and delivered in line with asset’s experience vision in terms of quality and tone;
Presenting the asset to the public in its optimal condition and maintaining a presence out on the floor;
Proactively driving the asset’s reputation to meet or exceed PR and contra targets as well as maintaining effective media relations;
Participating in Manager on Duty rotation, staff meetings and other relevant management responsibilities as a critical member of the asset team;
Proactively engaging with industry bodies, and emerging retail industry concepts and trends;
Adhering to Mirvac policies and procedures, internal and external reporting deadlines and compliance requirements;
Assisting with any projects, or undertaking additional duties as reasonably required
Your point of difference
Strong people management experience, with a passion for developing and empowering people to succeed is a must,as well as an understanding of budget preparation and ongoing management on an accrual basis
Finally you will have a high level of IT proficiency (ie Microsoft Office), strong content creation skills via digital medias, a guest-centric focus and an exceptional eye for styling, presentation and visual merchandising
