**Your Opportunity**:
**The position of Multicultural Liaison Officer will**:
Provide support to Pacific Islander patients, their families, carers and nominated community representatives at the Queensland Children's Hospital during their hospitalisation.
Provide outreach/community support to Pacific Islander patients, their families, carers and nominated community representatives.
Work collaboratively with the health services multidisciplinary teams to ensure that appropriate and culturally sensitive services contribute to the improved health and wellbeing of Pacific Islander patients.
Identify and implement culturally tailored engagement and improvement activities, working closely with the Senior Multicultural Coordinator and Senior Multicultural Nutritionist, providing advice and support to staff related to patient issues.
For this job, it is a genuine occupational requirement that it be filled by a Pacific Islander person as permitted and arguable under Sections 25 and 104 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
