Lead Project & Design Delivery on the Sunshine Coast

We are seeking a Department Manager
- Project & Design Delivery to lead our RAMC North Coast Sunshine Coast-based business unit. This is a unique opportunity to oversee the successful delivery of projects, drive operational excellence, lead a team of high performing Engineers and shape the future of our program delivery.

As the Department Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Leadership & Team Development: Providing clear direction, defining roles and responsibilities, and fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Project & Design Delivery: Leading the successful execution of projects within the contract, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Living Safely Culture: Championing a proactive safety culture in line with Fulton Hogan’s “Living Safely” values.
- Business Strategy & Financial Oversight: Developing and implementing business plans, managing budgets, and overseeing project performance.
- Commercial & Risk Management: Conducting financial and commercial reviews, ensuring cost controls, accurate forecasting, and optimising project outcomes.

We’re Looking For:

- Project & Design Expertise: Proven TMR experience in delivering complex projects and programs of work within a safe and structured environment.
- Leadership & Culture: Ability to lead teams through change, drive continuous improvement, and build a high-performance culture.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of costing, budgeting, forecasting, subcontractor management, and risk assessment.
- Resilience & Problem-Solving: A results-driven leader who can navigate competing stakeholder interests while maintaining a focus on quality outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience managing the design and construction of asset management projects or similar programs. RPEQ certification (mandatory). Project Management qualifications (highly desirable).
