**The Role**

Reporting to the Sourcing QA Manager you will work as part of the team to ensure suppliers comply to Sanitarium’s quality assurance program, meeting quality and food safety requirements for Australia and New Zealand operations. This is a permanent part time role with a requirement to work 4 days per week hybrid by arrangement. The key responsibilities include:

- Maintain system databases for supplier food safety and religious certification requirements.
- Review and approve material specifications.
- Manage the resolution of quality, food safety and/or legal (compliance) issues arising from material non-compliance which may encompass supplier audits.
- Assist in the Food Fraud Vulnerability Program.
- Review and approve Supplier Food Safety & Quality Documentation.
- Some travel may be required.

**Skills & Experience**
- Bachelor of Science or Food Science & Technology or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food industry in product development, or quality roles.
- Must have knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems particularly HACCP and GFSI Standards, including BRCGS and SQF standards.
- Qualifications in Food Safety auditing will be highly regarded but not essential.
- Knowledge of food security and vulnerability programs.
- Knowledge of Religious Certification programs.
- Understanding of food and packaging manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of food regulations, legislation, and food safety.
- Experience in Risk Management principles for Food Safety & Quality.
