**How will I help?**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Data Engineering and Operations, to join our team on a permanent basis

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Support and improve aspects of an agile Teradata SQL database environment and its operating requirements within the broader BT and Westpac systems landscape.
- Provide ongoing support around various ETL processes, data management and data operations to the A&I team.
- Manage weekly technical releases to support existing reporting and drive ongoing process optimisation
- Lead the thought process around re-designing existing tables, views, reports, and dashboards
- Engage with Group Technology on behalf of the team regarding the management of our database and server environment
- Collaborate closely with Business Unit partners to establish and refine critical data engineering and operations processes supporting data-driven business outcomes in areas including: Group Tech, Finance and Wealth
- Ensure adequate controls exist to provide accurate information. Capture and document business logic changes

**What do I need?**
- The ability to lead a range of activities across data operations, data extraction and data engineering to support ad-hoc analytics and insights initiatives.
- Strong technical skills troubleshooting and maintaining Windows environment, across Windows 10,11 and Windows Server OS.
- Experience with Python (or similar), as well as JIRA and Confluence.
- A solid understanding of database structure and data design principles (across production and development environments), with an end-to-end view on improving database design, regular business reports, tables, and views.
- Proven experience in SQL and Bitbucket (or similar), Advanced Microsoft Excel and Teradata is mandatory.
- A creative and collaborative approach to problem solving, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
