AUSTRAC is Australia’s anti-money laundering regulator and specialist financial intelligence unit. The regulatory function oversees compliance with the requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (AML/CTF Act).

The Contact Centre’s primary role is to provide high quality assistance and customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Contact Centre Officers engage with AUSTRAC’s stakeholders to promote compliance and increase knowledge of the obligations outlined within the AML/CTF Act and Rules. External stakeholders include the general public and regulated entities such as the banking sector, money transfer businesses and gaming industries. AUSTRAC also works closely with law enforcement, government agencies, industry associations and professional services providers.
