Are you someone who wants to make sure people with mental health disabilities do not go without support? Are you someone who likes to solve problems and build a positive professional relationship with staff members? We have a role for you - Roster Coordinator at Wellcare Australia.
The Roster Coordinator's main responsibility is to plan, communicate, and coordinate effectively to ensure all our participants get the person-centred care they need and deserve.
**Your new role**
This is a pivotal role in ensuring a positive service delivery. You will coordinate with different team members to ensure the rosters are finalised for the fortnight. You will build and maintain long-term professional relationships with the support workers, team leaders and the service team. In some instances, this role would require you to showcase resilience and perseverance to ensure you take care of any shift cancellations that come your way. All of this requires you to showcase excellent planning, clear communication and optimal problem-solving. You will thrive in the role if you come in with the mindset of ensuring that not a single client will ever sit without a support worker, because currently, that is what we strive for and ensure we stick to it.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Efficiently manage and optimise staff rosters.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure adequate coverage and exceptional services.
- Respond promptly to scheduling changes and adapt plans as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with support workers, service delivery and service support team.
- Uphold compliance with NDIS guidelines.

At Wellcare Australia, we provide shared housing and assistance for mental health participants with ongoing care needs. Our vision is to provide outstanding person-centred and recovery-oriented care through our support workers' provision to help our participants through their recovery journey. Wellcare Australia is also a registered NDIS provider.

**Skills and competencies**:
- Effective communication (both written and verbal)
- Excellent planning
- Problem-solving
- Time-management
- Attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using rostering tools (publishing shifts and approving timesheets)
**Requirements**:
- Qualification in management or human resources is desirable.
- Previous experience in managing rosters in a similar industry.
- An ability to demonstrate flexibility, and willingness to adapt to change, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the social and community services industry is a must.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $27.17 - $33.41 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Phillip, ACT 2606: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
