**The Role**
This Payroll Officer role supports the wider finance team and has the support of the HR function. You would be responsible for:
- Responsible for the fortnightly permanent and casual employee pay cycle including leave and timesheet processing
- Responsible for new starters, step/award increases, salary averaging and part-time calculations
- Monitor payroll inbox and updates to employee details
- Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies or errors in a timely and efficient manner and collaborating with the Human Resources department to address employee payroll related enquiries
- Ensuring all tax filings are completely accurately and on time
- Upload and submit superannuation contributions from payroll including for contractors and new employees
**Your Background**
- Experience in Micropay (essential)
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience - ideally on a payroll of over 100 employees
- Good communication skills and a commitment to a high level of internal customer service
- The ability to work reliably in a sole-charge payroll function
