We are partnering with an Australian owned Engineering company located in Bendigo. This privately owned business specialises in the design, construction, programming, and commissioning of electrical control systems for OEMs and builders throughout Australia. As a control provider, they stand out in Australia for their reliability, thanks to their quick response times, vast industry experience, and advanced engineering and manufacturing processes.

**The opportunity**:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for all manufacturing including leading the production teams ensuring that the production runs smoothly, and the products & service exceed customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, including scheduling, staffing, and quality control
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize our production processes, including lean manufacturing principles and automation where appropriate
- Collaborate with our engineering team to ensure that our designs are optimized for efficient manufacturing, and that any issues are identified and resolved quickly
- Work with our supply chain team to ensure that we have the necessary raw materials and components on hand to meet production needs
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of our manufacturing operations and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure that all employees adhere to safety protocols and best practices
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage all employees to contribute their ideas for how we can improve our manufacturing processes and deliver exceptional products to our customers
- Nurture a culture of motivated, high-performing, and successful team members who are happy and challenged in their roles
- Develop operational capacity to align with sales, including suggesting additional hires or restructuring teams, acquiring capital equipment, etc
- Supervise the implementation of OHS and ISO9001 Quality Management System

**The 'Ideal' person will have**:

- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing management role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire the team
- Experience working with a custom / bespoke product range
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and best practices
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and increasing efficiency in a manufacturing setting
