**The Role**
The Anzac SPO Security and Facilities Officer is responsible for the Commonwealth Security and Facilities management and business support for the Anzac SPO managed wings at Navy Capability Centre in Henderson WA. This role supervises an APS 2 Admin Support Officer and APS 4 Business Support Officer/s (2); responsibilities include working as Assistant Security and Facilities Officer/s.
The successful applicant will join the Commercial Group business team of the Anzac SPO. This position reports to the Anzac SPO Business Manager.
**About our Team**
The Anzac Systems Program Office (Anzac SPO) is within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) / Maritime Sustainment Division / Major Surface Ships (MSS) Branch. The Anzac SPO is located at Henderson, WA.
We are seeking a motivated, self-starter and high performing leader who exemplifies professionalism through their leadership and who enjoys working on a broad range of security, facilities and administrative support tasks collaboratively, to achieve outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience as a Security Officer in Defence, or extensive knowledge of security requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as a Facility manager with an understanding of Defence estates services (highly desirable) or experience in property management including resolving facilities support issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and negotiate with influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- The ready ability to work in a busy and demanding workplace whilst managing multiple competing requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and experience with having difficult or challenging conversations.
