**Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA)**

We are on our path towards becoming the Commonwealths “Strategic Shipbuilder” in the West, aiming to be in contract for the Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA). The SSA will establish an overarching program which enables the design and build of vessels at the Henderson Shipyard. The objective of the SSA is to possess the capacity and capability to initially deliver Landing Craft Medium & Heavy for the Australian Army in supporting continuous naval shipbuilding in WA.

The SSA is about establishing the capability within the Henderson Precinct, and Western Australia, to continuously build vessels for the Commonwealth. It will be led by Austal, and will require the engagement of local industry, supply chain and workforce to be successful.

**About the Opportunity**

The Security Advisor is a key position within the Strategic Shipbuilding team, ‘delivering together.’ You’ll be responsible for:

- Application of the organisations DISP obligations, including the Defence Security Principles Framework and Information Security Manual
- Facilitate annual security awareness training of personnel.
- Monitor and management of DSAP list and sponsorship of personnel security.
- Development and maintenance of the Program’s Personnel Security clearances.
- Managing the risk profile of the Program and record all decisions, actions and incidents.
- Preparation and delivery of security briefing to personnel.
- Perform annual protective security assessments in accordance with DSPF.

**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in either DoD, ADF or Defence Industry, operating in more than 1 functional area.
- Demonstrated experience in managing personnel, facilities, information, and cyber security up to and including ‘PROTECTED’ Level
- Demonstrated experience in managing organisational DSPF obligations, including lifting organisational security measures in order to both maintain and enhance security posture.
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management in accordance with ISO31000.
- Demonstrated experience in positively influencing stakeholders and cultural change with respect to security.

**Security Clearance roles only**: Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen, have and uphold an NV1Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
