Our client provides a range of manufacturing & maintenance services to the mining, power generation and oil and gas sectors. We are currently seeking to employ a Workshop Leading Hand for our Conveyor Pulley Division in our Canning Vale premises.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure adherence to safety and company policies.
- Organise workflow and ensure employees understand their duties and tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Goal setting for performance deadlines.
- Timekeeping and timecard management.
- Provide a conduit of information from management to workshop personnel and vice versa.
- Assist with performance management of workshop employees.
- Maintain company building and asset security.

**Essential Skills & Qualifications.**
- Provide leadership in the workshop, remain positive and lead by example.
- Identify and instruct employees in need of assistance, proactively providing guidance to implement the most efficient practices.
- Provide technical assistance with the job scope as required or requested.
- Communicate with Management regarding potential issues and concerns.
- Positive promotion of the Company to subordinates and peers.
- Work together as a team with all employees, including Management, to promote teamwork and mutual respect.
- Balance personal productivity with everyday Leading Hand responsibilities.
- Continue to meet the requirements of your trade position description.
- Positive promotion of the company HSE policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience with Conveyor Pulley re-builds in a workshop environment.
- Diploma or certificate in front line management (or equivalent).
- High risk work ticket - forklift.
