**_The Soda Rock Diner team seeks friendly wait staff to work with us at our fun retro restaurant to keep our loyal customers happy_**

The successful applicant will:

- Like customers and make sure they have a great experience
- Have great communication skills
- Have great observational skills
- Be a fast and efficient worker
- Have a good eye for detail
- Be able to learn to prepare delicious, well-presented drinks and desserts quickly and consistently (full training provided)
- Be good at following directions
- Work well in a team
- Have flexible availability
- Be able to work a minimum of three shifts per week
- Be able to roller-skate for the duration of each shift (skates do not have to be worn during dance routines). If you are not able to skate currently but are willing to learn to skate within 4 weeks, you are welcome to apply.
- Be vaccinated against COVID-19 (this is a government regulation)

There is the opportunity for the right person with excellent job performance and communication to progress into other roles, if interested (e.g. supervisor or manager).

No experience required. Applicants of all ages are welcome to apply, including high school students and TAFE / university students.

We are a family-friendly, American
- and 1950s-themed Melbourne restaurant, opened in 1994 (still the same owner). We are a popular destination for people wanting to celebrate a birthday in a fun atmosphere, and we have fans of all ages (from toddlers through to seniors). We are looking for someone who can work well and keep up in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
