The position will suit people who are looking to improve their experience in the hospitality industry with extensive and ongoing training provided in all areas from operation, service, bar, and products.

Oriental Teahouse operates Mon-Sun lunch & dinner, the current opening would suit those looking for some roles in a smart dining environment with a high standard for customer service.

We are on the hunt for a series of roles to cover the following areas of our venue:
Formal Service Waiter

We are looking for those to specializes in providing high-end service, well-versed in formal table service, wine pairing, and have extensive knowledge of menu offerings. Some the tasks expected are:

- Effectively follow the dining service sequence as outlined in the company’s processes and procedure manuals.
- Ensuring that an appropriate level of menu and beverage knowledge is demonstrated to guests (including answering questions on menu items, cooking preparation/methods, ingredients and recommendations)
- Arranging and setting tables in an organized and visually appealing manner
- Support Maître D in taking & handling reservations and following our SOPs on our booking platform

Cocktail Waiter (Drinks Waiter)

Focuses on serving beverages, particularly cocktails, in our bar, dining room, and has a strong emphasis on mixology. We are looking for skill in preparing and presenting specialty cocktails and serving drinks from our full drink and wine list.
- Providing attentive and efficient service to guests, taking drink orders, and delivering beverages in a timely manner.
- Demonstrating knowledge of the drink menu, including different types of beverages, ingredients, and flavour profiles.
- Ensuring accuracy in serving the correct drinks to the appropriate guests, uncorking bottles and serving beverages
- Preparing and mixing a variety of cocktails based on guest preferences and recipe specifications.
- Support Wait Staff maintain tables throughout the meal. Promptly remove empty plates, glasses, and utensils, replacing them as necessary.
- Handling payments, operating point-of-sale machines & registers.

Maître D: Guest Relations

To be responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient dining atmosphere, ensuring exceptional guest experiences through maintenance of our database, and managing the front-of-house reservation operations by organizing table allocations, and maximizing seating capacity.
- Taking reservations and following our SOPs on our booking platform
- Ensuring accurate bookings, organizing table allocations, and maximizing seating capacity.
- Maintain a database of regular guests and their preferences to provide personalized service.
- Responsible for the smooth functioning of the dining room, support in setting and arranging tables.
- Oversee the seating arrangements, ensure tables are properly set.
- Manage the flow of guests

- Some form of previous customer service or hospitality experience
- Have a Victorian RSA or willing to obtain one within first month
