Western Health (VICTORIA, Australia) is one of the largest providers of maternity services in Australia with approximately 7000 births annually. We are seeking a skilled and experienced specialist obstetrician to provide clinical and leadership expertise to our tertiary maternity service. Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Sunshine Hospital serves the rapidly growing and culturally diverse communities that make up the Western suburbs and outer surrounds of greater Metropolitan Melbourne. The maternity service is supported by a Level 6 NICU and a full range of surgical and medical specialities.
The primary responsibility of this role is clinical leadership and role modelling excellent obstetrics within a collaborative model of maternity care. We are looking for that unique combination of clinical excellence and outstanding leadership driven by a passion for continuous improvement in genuine partnership with our community.
The position is part of a senior leadership team with the Heads of Gynaecology and Maternal Fetal Medicine and reports to the Director of O&G. The medical leadership teams work in close collaboration with the Divisional operational teams.
The role can be tailored to suit a fulltime or fractional (0.6 - 0.8) FRANZCOG
