Location**: Canberra**

The Data Centre and Storage Services section is responsible for implementing, configuring and maintaining Home Affairs Data Centres, server rooms and patch rooms across Australia. This includes the Department’s enterprise storage arrays (including Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Array Networks (SAN).

The section is seeking multiplel skilled and experienced with a proven ability to work within a structured IT governance framework.

but not limited to:

- Undertaking a range of activities in support of the management and operation of the Department’s data centres, and associated hardware;
- Assisting in the management of infrastructure service delivery functions;
- Liaising with external and internal service providers as required;
- Day to day monitoring and support of Data Centre technologies;
- Implementing major/minor project work to support Departmental initiatives;
- Collaborating with technical teams to identify infrastructure solutions to support business operations;
- Travelling interstate, as required.

Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices.

The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to:

- Work processes;
- Technical infrastructure specifications;
- Data centre standard operating procedures;
- As-Built design documentation.
