We're currently seeking a talented finance officer to join our team as a Banking Officer, to further compliment our finance team in our **Rowville Support Office**. This role will initially be for a **five month** period, with the possibility of extension.

**The Role**:
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the profitability, growth, and return on investment of GPC Asia Pacific, by providing best practice cash and banking services. Through complying and adhering to company policies and statutory legislation, whilst always seeking to improve, find new efficiencies, and get the best outcomes for the business.

Reporting to the Banking Team Leader this position is responsible for the efficient and timely provision of a broad range of cash and banking functions.

**Key roles and responsibilities for this position consist of but are not limited to**:

- Check funds deposited, eftpos and Amex bank statements to cash book daily
- Liaise with Financial Institutions
- Meet monthly end deadlines
- Provide support to our branch network regarding banking and cash book procedures and queries
- Provide support to other cash and banking team members
- Prepare and process journals
- Prepare cheques to be deposited
- Provide information to Financial Accountants, Accounts Receivable Department and Internal Auditors
- Completion of tasks within required timeframes
- SOX compliancy required for audit

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate experience in a similar role, or have adequate experience performing these tasks throughout your career.
