The City of Whittlesea is located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, about 20 kilometres from the city centre. To enable this vision to come to life, the City of Whittlesea currently has a number of exciting opportunities for Planners to accelerate growth and add to the vibrant places to live, work, and play that define Whittlesea.

To be considered for this position at an exciting growth Council you will be able to demonstrate sound experience managing multi-disciplinary planning projects from inception to implementation and can effectively engage with a large range of stakeholders to deliver outcomes in a timely manner. You understand the local government landscape, either having worked within a Council, or extensively consulted to Council. Experience in growth area planning and PSPs is highly desired and will hold you in good stead to take on the complexity of the planning work to be delivered. You present with an ability to mentor and develop junior staff, and contribute to a culture of innovation, high performance, and continuous improvement. With relevant tertiary qualifications and a high degree of understanding regarding public land use and development, you will also be able to mentor team members and manage complex stakeholder groups effectively.
