**The Opportunity**:
We are now looking to welcome a
**Hydrographic Survey Operations Manager**. This position will be based in
**Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast**. This role involves travel to projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the day-to-day operations of Hall’s Survey Division within Australia
- Ensure each opportunity and/or project is adequately supported with skilled personnel
- Develop strategic plans
- Manage the department’s annual budget in line with the business objectives, and monitor expenditure against approved budget
- Maintain all allocated Survey equipment
- Manage and instigate growth of the Hydrographic Surveying department
- Identify and mentor Graduate or Post Graduate Project Engineers to suitably skilled Surveyors with consideration to subsequent qualification
- Travel to the Head Office on the Sunshine Coast and to projects as required

**About you**:

- Level 2 Specialist Certification in Hydrography (IHO Cat B), higher accreditations preferred
- Tertiary qualification in Surveying or an allied discipline
- Substantial experience as a hydrographic surveyor, both in data acquisition, processing and geodetical Project and vessel set up
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, leadership qualities and a proactive working approach
- Ability to create rapport and build relationships with those around you
- Strong commitment to safety and upholding company ethics and values
- Coxswain Grade 1 NC is beneficial
