**THE ROLE**
The Emergency, Continuity and Security Specialist has responsibility for Managing, Implementing and Building business capability in the areas of, Emergency Management, Business Continuity and Security across all of Generation & Development. This includes the training, preparedness and effectiveness of these systems and processes. In addition, the role supports the Systems and Assurance Team in the fields of Safe Access, Assurance, Governance and Contractor Performance Management. To perform the role effectively it is necessary to travel to G&D sites as per business requirements.
**You’ll be responsible for**
**Emergency Management**
- Manage and Maintain Emergency Response Plans with key stakeholders ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained.
- Manage, Develop and Implement Emergency scenarios and Exercises aligned with site risks with both internal and external bodies.
- Assist sites with Emergency Response Team Preparedness.
- Lead Origin participation in annual Power Industry training events
- Provide support to the Generation Emergency Management Team, including training, after action reviews, procedure updates and facility readiness.
- Manage and Maintain Bushfire / Cyclone Management Plans
- Develop electronic training modules for all sites in collaboration with the training & competency team.
**Business Continuity**
- Manage, Maintain, and update Business Impact and Continuity Plans.
- Manage Develop and Implement Business continuity plan exercises in accordance with Origin Directives.
**Security**
- Manage and Maintain Security Plans with key stakeholders ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained, inclusive of requirements under SOCI regulations.
- Develop and Perform Security Audits
- Manage security audit actions

- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic environment
- Highly skilled communicator within teams and across teams with strong oral and written skills
- Strong influencer with good relationship skills, with ability to liaise at multiple levels in the organisation.
- Ability to facilitate and consult with functional teams and stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a high performing team
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
- Strong systems background and a working knowledge of ISO standards in HSE
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience working in energy or heavy industry environment partnered with tertiary qualifications in the field of Health and Safety, Environment or Risk.
