West Pennant Hills, Australia Uniting Full time

Village Manager - Hills District
Full-time | Permanent | Travel between 3 Uniting villages
At Uniting, we believe ageing is a part of life to be celebrated and supported. Our retirement living communities are vibrant places where older people can continue to thrive, stay connected, and feel at home. We are now seeking an experienced Village Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of three of our retirement villages in the Hills District, NSW.
About the role
As Village Manager, you’ll be the welcoming face and trusted leader across three Uniting villages, ensuring residents feel safe, supported, and part of a thriving community. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of village life - from property and facilities oversight, to compliance, financial management, and resident engagement.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where every day is different. You’ll spend time building relationships with residents, supporting staff, liaising with contractors, and ensuring everything from safety to services is delivered to a high standard. Travel between the three villages in your portfolio will be a regular part of your week.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading the operational management of three villages within the Hills District
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, contracts, and Uniting’s standards
- Building strong and supportive relationships with residents and their families
- Managing budgets, reporting, and village finances
- Overseeing property and facilities maintenance
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting staff and volunteers
- Driving a welcoming, connected, and safe community environment

About you
You’re an experienced people leader with a talent for balancing operational management with genuine care and connection. You’ll bring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to navigate challenges with professionalism and empathy. You thrive in a dynamic environment, are confident with compliance and reporting, and most importantly - you’re passionate about enhancing the lives of older people.
**We’re looking for**:

- Experience in community/village management, hospitality, property, or related fields
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Financial and compliance management experience
- Current driver’s licence and vehicle to travel between villages (generous mileage reimbursement)

Why Uniting?
At Uniting, we celebrate the strengths, passions, and contributions of every person. We are committed to building welcoming and inclusive communities where older people live life their way.
What We Offer You
- A rewarding career with a leading human services organisation.
- Up to $18,550 NFP salary packaging available.
- Access to our U rewards program with exclusive discounts.
- Flexible work hours for work-life balance.
- Affordable access to Fitness Passport— discounted gym memberships to support your best life.
- A supportive and inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Opportunities for professional growth.

**How to apply**: Send your CV and a brief cover letter highlighting why this role appeals to you - Applications reviewed upon receipt.
