We are currently seeking a passionate and professional Patient Services Officer (PSO) to join our busy Berwick clinic in a full-time capacity. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team dedicated to improving cardiovascular health across Australia.
In this key front-line role, you’ll support patients and clinicians through outstanding administrative service, appointment management, billing, and coordination - ensuring every patient experience is a positive one.
This position reports to the Practice Manager and works closely with a supportive, vibrant team focused on exceptional service and patient care.
What You’ll Bring
**To thrive in this role, you’ll bring**:
- Previous experience delivering excellent patient/customer service, ideally in a healthcare or medical setting
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with a sharp attention to detail
- Confident communication and a proactive, team-oriented approach
- Experience with medical billing, Medicare and DVA processes
- A professional phone manner and the ability to manage high-volume patient interactions
- Flexibility to travel to our Mulgrave and Lilydale clinics as required
Key Responsibilities
**As our PSO, you’ll make a meaningful difference by**:
- Greeting and assisting patients on arrival
- Managing appointments for multiple specialists across various sites
- Ensuring accurate data collection and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Responding promptly and professionally to phone and in-person enquiries
- Processing billing and receipting for Medicare, DVA, and patients
- Collaborating with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Coordinating referrals and ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Supporting clinical communication via the HealthTrack system
- Scheduling and confirming consultations and diagnostic tests
