A part of the Toowoomba community since 1935, **Salem** is a 91 bed Residential Aged Care Facility minutes from Toowoomba’s town centre.

We are seeking an experienced Residential Aged Care Manager and leader to continue leading the team who are renowned for providing exceptional care to our residents.

**About the role**:
Our Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership to an innovative and thriving community, where best practice, person centred, evidence-based care, community connection and vibrancy thrives. This role is responsible for overseeing the assets of the facility, our people and our residents. This is a big role, and we are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and will not shy away from the tough decisions. This role will enhance lifestyle choices and support a performance culture that further enhances the well-being of the residents, meets community expectations and all regulatory requirements including quality accreditation.

**We are looking for an exceptional aged care leader with a long term vision and a passion to work in regional communities.**

You will:

- Oversee all financial aspects of the service,
- Work with the entire team in a collaborative manner to promote a high-performance culture focussed on delivery, high quality and appropriate care which meets compliance and regulatory standards.
- Have strong Clinical knowledge to ensure clinical needs of residents are met and the aged care standards and operational risks are being met and managed, including reporting requirements.
- Lead the heads of department across the community in a collaborative fashion.
- Ensure appropriate recruitment, staffing levels and rostering is maintained
- Ensure the facility is maintaining the appropriate funding requirements including ACFI and moving towards ANN-ACC.
- Provide guidance and education to the HODS and appropriate staff in relation to the upcoming funding changes
- Develop and monitor process for evaluating and reviewing services, and a continuous improvement culture is encouraged and maintained.
- Network with local community services and providers advising of Lutheran Services' offerings where possible.
- Work with other members of the wider Lutheran Services team to ensure procedures and guidelines are strengthened and deployed into practice.

This role is also required to maintain long-term financial viability and have strong relationships with the community and other stakeholders.

**About you**:
To be successful for this role you will:

- have demonstrated commercial and business acumen with a proven track record.
- significant experience within the aged care industry preferably managing a large facility and well as managing clinical and care staff.
- have a commitment to the philosophy of person-centred care and have contemporary business and people leadership experience.
- thrive on building exceptional relationships with your staff and enjoy being able to influence change and support the team through exceptional times in the aged care industry.

In addition to this you will have;
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
- An open, consultative style and sensitivity to complex organisational dynamics.
- Experience managing effective change management.
- A current Queensland driver’s license.
- Current compliance checks.
- Current flu and COVID vaccinations.
