What does the business unit do?
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Data, Digital and Insights (DDI) focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes. The specialist groups within DDI consist of Technology Solutions and Evidence and Insights.
Technology Solutions explores and employs modern technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services.
Evidence and Insights is responsible for providing end-to-end evidence-based policy support to the Department of Justice and Community Safety, and the reporting of data and research to the Victorian public through the Crime Statistics Agency and the National Coronial Information System.
What will the role do?
The primary responsibility of the Organisational Change Analyst will be to maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise resistance via an established change management methodology, working to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organisation to increase benefit realisation, value creation, return on investment and the achievement of results and outcomes.
This role will include developing an approach to engage with project teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders. It will require the preparation of plans and schedules as well as delivery of communication collateral to support successful project delivery.
What skills should an Organisational Change Analyst have?
- Understanding of contemporary Organisational Change Management practice to contribute and follow an Organisation Change Management strategy and consulting model within a complex Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment.
- Experience in developing a stakeholder matrix, subsequent analysis of stakeholders and a structured approach to engaging with project teams and relevant internal and external stakeholders pertinent to a complex ICT environment.
- Demonstrable experience in developing an organisational change management action plan for all stakeholder groups within an IT project that will help guide and drive faster adoption, higher utilisation and greater proficiency of the changes.
- Demonstrable experience in developing specific stakeholder communications plans and materials suited to specific business or technical audiences, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering engaging project related communications materials.
- Ability to effectively use workplace tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams.
- Experience in transformation or similar would be advantageous within a Government Department.
- PROSCI qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Degree qualification in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline.
