Apprenticeship Careers Australia (ACA) are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to undertake a Disability Support Traineeship with one of our well-established and reputable host employers in the disability care sector.

Previous experience is not essential as we are seeking someone that has the right attitude, are dependable, reliable, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

**About You**:

- Must be conscientious with a passion for helping others
- Have excellent time management skills
- Shows initiative and can work well autonomously
- Willingness to work under Work Health and Safety guidelines
- Has a professional attitude
- A commitment to learning and development

**Role Description**:
**Duties include**:

- Develop relationships with clients
- Assist with daily personal, and hygiene care tasks
- Assist with social, recreational and leisure activities
- Support residents’ mobility with the use of equipment
- Providing companionship and support during daily activities
- Provide physical assistance
- Assist in administering medications
- Work as part of a great team
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to commit to completing a Certificate IV in Disability
- Demonstrate cooperation, respect, consideration, and tact in dealing with others (supervisors, peers, clients)
- Aptitude for working and communicating effectively with participants and their families
- Ability to prioritise requirements
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid NDIS Screening, or Police Check
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination
