**The Role**
The role requires the successful applicant to develop, implement and co-ordinate an engaging, person-centred leisure and lifestyle program with a focus on the provision of social connections. The program is required to focus on wellness and provide a range of opportunities for clients to achieve physical, emotional, and psychological wellness.
The role will also require you to participate in regular community care shifts such as personal care, home care (domestic assistance), meal preparation and transport shifts in the Eastern suburbs.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop a social lifestyle program that is responsive to client feedback based on person centered care and includes and extends the clients’ interests, needs and desires.
- Ensure client needs are communicated and documented
- Develop and support links with the community
- Ensure services are delivered in a manner that is in line with the Aged Care Quality Standard
- Complete monthly reports
- Assist with orientating and training new staff
- Assist with staff receiving appropriate training and coaching
- Ensure that budget is utilised in the most effective manner
**Qualifications**
- Qualified Diversional Therapist (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (desirable)
**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in aged care, preferably in a community, residential or leisure and lifestyle setting
- Demonstrated marketing, sales & customer service skills
- Innovative approach
- Strong computer literacy
- Leads and develops a client centred approach
- Effectively manage time and tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Drivers Licence and own registered and insured vehicle
**Desirable**
- Previous experience developing and implementing a wellbeing program
