**ABOUT YOU**
We have an amazing opportunity for mental health Support Worker based in Vermont, Vic or nearby. We are looking for someone warm, friendly, respectful and willing to learn. Someone who is comfortable driving. Someone who truly cares for the clients, is willing to listen and to help them achieve their full potential. An ability to build strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders is a must, as is the genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their family and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth flow of service delivery throughout the course of the participants plan. Assist with liaising with participants family and friends to explore new goals, ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and provide a medium of strong communication. Increase participants skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills, and personal development. Provide regular and frequent quality and professional support in line with participants plan, needs, and wants. Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle. Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills, identify areas of increased support, and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
Minimum of Certificate IV or mental health related qualification (mandatory)
Current First Aid level 2 Certificate (mandatory)
National Police Check (mandatory)
Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance (preferred but not essential) Manual handling (preferred)
Administration of medication (preferred)
Current CPR (annual)
Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
Current Australian Drivers License (MUST)
**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
