**About the role**

Lead and oversee a small team at EPA, specialising in contaminated land regulation in Western Metropolitan Melbourne Region. Drive education, compliance monitoring, inspections, and enforcement actions, with a focus on preventative measures aligned with critical programs.

**In this role you will**:

- Lead and inspire a team to uphold high standards of performance and accountability in environmental protection.
- Actively contribute to initiatives like the Contaminated Land Program and Incident Management System.
- Drive investigations and compliance programs aligned with EPA's regulatory goals.
- Partner with stakeholders to enhance environmental and public health outcomes.
- Execute administrative tasks to meet regulatory objectives, ensuring compliance with Government and EPA policies, including finance, safety, and conduct standards.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in leadership, ideally within environmental regulation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of frontline regulatory operations and government legislation.
- Proven track record of building and sustaining relationships for collaborative delivery of outcomes.
- Proficiency in managing contaminated land and landfills, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences (Desirable).
