**About this role**
The primary focus of the role would be to support and/or lead a diverse range of contaminated land projects comprising preliminary site investigations, detailed site investigations, remediation strategies, waste classification and input into environmental management plans, environmental impact assessments and due diligence assessments.
In this role you will be involved in State significant infrastructure projects including road, rail and renewable energy projects. You will work on projects that have a tangible benefit to the communities around you and as part of a small and friendly team, passionate about achieving great outcomes for all.

**What will I do?**
- Drawing on your broad knowledge and experience of contamination assessment, remediation and management you will provide tailored and creative solutions to our client’s complex problems.
- Manage contaminated land projects or lead discrete work packages as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets and communicating with clients.
- Translate risks and opportunities relating to contaminated land into a variety of formats, including bespoke reports, tender advice notes and presentations at client meetings.
- You will coordinate large and/or complex site investigation programs, including the management of site health and safety.
- Contribute to business development efforts by building rapport and networks with internal and external parties and preparing bids and proposals tailored to client needs and drivers.
- Actively contribute to the development of others through sharing expertise within and external to the team, providing coaching to junior team members and working in a way that foster and encourages diversity of thought and inclusivity.
**What will I bring?**
- 5-10 years relevant industry experience in a consulting, private industry or a government environment.
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or other relevant qualification. As well as a membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
- Extensive project management and business development experience.
- Significant experience in coordinating and managing site work, including higher risk sites and/or tasks (such as tank pulls). As well as experience in scheduling and sampling of soil and groundwater (soil vapour experience highly regarded).
- Experience in environmental impact assessment and due diligence highly regarded.
