About the Role- Be part of an exciting transformation to Azure- Flexible with location (Melbourne|Sydney|Adelaide)- Impactful role providing high quality commercial analysis

The Cloud Financial Operations Analyst (FinOps) role works across multiple streams within the Technology function, namely Cloud and Data Engineering, to support the successful delivery of these services and ensure the appropriate level of financial reporting is produced and communicated.

You will assist in financial management including cost tracking, development and preparation of insightful commercial analysis, benefits management, and realisation reporting along with reviewing investment submissions for accuracy and consistency for governance reporting.

In addition, you will:
- Manage and analyse Azure Infrastructure Spend Profiles - Budgets, Forecasts and Actuals- Track and report realisation of Cost Optimisation benefits across Azure and Vendor/Partner spend- Assist with cost estimation, forecasting and budgeting for all Cloud Analytics and Data Platforms- Work in collaboration with Cloud Analytics and Data Platform teams (inclusive of Partner and Vendor reps) with increasing visibility of Azure infrastructure hosting consumption by various Business Units; tracking actual utilisation against forecasted and budget numbers.- Facilitate and assist the team in expediting transactional processes (purchasing, invoicing and reconciliations)- Manage and update asset capitalisation associated with project / program deliverables- Track and manage team headwinds / tailwinds to support clear view of CAPEX/OPEX spend profile month on month- Monitor and provide required updates to the business case financials, including CAPEX/OPEX tracking and financial treatment.- Work in alignment with AGL finance teams.

About You

As an experienced commercial analyst, you will have experience in financial analysis, benefits valuation and management, business case preparation, project resource planning, cost estimation along with project reporting - preferably PMP-based or Agile methodologies.

You will have excellent project portfolio management skills, coupled with a developed understanding of the project life cycle, project documentation, project standards and methodologies.

You are an exceptional communicator who has well developed interpersonal skills and takes pride in your ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of people. You will also bring a strategic mindset, a passion for process improvement and technology transformation and a desire to deliver impact through effective financial analysis.

What you bring to the table:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in business, commerce, finance, project management, IT-related (or similar discipline) along with technical expertise within Azure to analyse insights and provide recommendations.- Confident to operate autonomously including the ability to quickly adjust work cycles to accommodate emerging priorities.- Experience in Cloud financial management and reporting is desired, but not essential.
