Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Technical Writer on a contract for 12 months.

**Position Overview**

The Technical Writer is required to develop Defence technical documentation and training materials, including;
- Defence user handbooks,
- Operations and maintenance manuals,
- Defence electrical and mechanical engineering instructions, and
- Defence learning materials and learning packages

**Deliverables**:
Delivery Report. At the completion of each month the Service Provider shall deliver a report containing:

- A summary of achievements and outcomes delivered in the last month of effort.
- A summary of the expected achievements and outcomes to be delivered in the next month of effort.
- A statement justifying any delta between the previous expected achievements and the summary of achievements.
- A timesheet, for signature by the Commonwealth Representative, detailing the hours worked over the period.

The Service Provider shall provide the deliverables in the following format:

- Soft copy: Microsoft Office 2010 or as agreed with the Commonwealth Representative.
- Delivered documents shall use formats agreed with the Commonwealth Representative
- Specific tasking, timings, and outcomes will be detailed at the beginning of each month.

**Evaluation Criteria**:
Value for money.

The Technical Writer will have experience in Communications Systems, Electronics, and Testing; possibly with tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or equivalent.

Experience with the following will be regarded as beneficial:

- Working within a Technical Regulatory Framework.
- FPECM, CIED systems, and other EW systems.
- Analog and Digital electronics systems.
- Laboratory and/or Field based testing of designs.
- Production of technical documentation
