**Position Description**:
As a Technical Writer in the Systems Integration and Operations (SIO) area of the Warfighting Networks and Applications Support Organisation (WSO) within the ICT Delivery Division of the Department of Defence, you will be responsible for producing high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience, with adherence to Defence writing standards. This role will require you to work as a Technical Writer with components of Business Analysis in the role.
**Responsibilities**:

- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience, with adherence to Defence writing standards.
- Liaise with broader ADF stakeholders, DSTG, and International Partners to support the delivery of the WNA System.
- Support high-quality business analytics solutions in an Agile context to deliver capability for the warfighter.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation to support Test & Evaluation (T&E) and Verification & Validation (V&V) activities and processes.
- Work in conjunction with other Support and Technical teams to develop Standard Operating Procedures and Knowledge-Based Articles.
- Complete project work stream deliverables, including quality control/sign off for the area of accountability.
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- 5+ years of experience working in the Defence environment, preferably on ICT and/or Network-centric projects.
- 5+ years of experience working as either a BA or Technical Writer.
- Experience in supporting and evaluating multi-vendor solutions.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to identify and control risks in the ICT context.
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams in a complex project environment.
- Ability to write technical documents to proscribed standards (i.e. ADF Writing Manual etc.).
**Desirable Skills and Experience**:
- Experience writing technical documents in a Defence setting.
**Team Lead Expected Work Arrangement**:
- Mostly Monday to Friday business hours. On occasion, after-hours or weekend work may be required with prior negotiation.
- Canberra-based preferred.
- DSN access will be required.
**Security Clearance**:
- Currently hold a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher security clearance.
