Freedom of Information and Privacy Officer

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Office of the General Counsel Branch as a Freedom of Information & Privacy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
The Freedom of Information & Privacy Officer will work across the department to ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Vic) (FOI Act) and the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) (PDP Act), and support the overall functions of the FOI and Privacy team within DPC's Office of the General Counsel.
To be successful in the role you will have proven ability to establish and maintain relationships, demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and the demonstrated ability to make sound decisions based on a consideration of facts.
About you
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise judgment and demonstrate decisiveness.
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, including ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to assess and make sense of large volumes of complex information, identifying key issues and details.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in pressured situations.
