**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer is a world-leading translational medical research institute focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer, Infection and Inflammation, Brain and Mental Health, and Population Health. Based in Herston, Brisbane and working in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes, QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
In this role you will:

- Provide executive-level support to the Program Directors, including diary management, drafting & proofreading documents, management of the flow of information, travel arrangements and expense claims.
- Manage Program Executive Meetings, including scheduling, agendas, collating reports and submissions, recording decisions and following up action items.
- Provide general administrative support to facilitate the operations of the Program.

In addition, you will work with the other Executive Assistant - Programs to provide consistent support across the four Research Programs as required.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Significant experience (5-7 years) as an Administrative Officer supporting executives or equivalent
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks to meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and work with minimum or no supervision
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to staff across all levels of the Institute
- Demonstrated expertise in the Microsoft Office suite
- Professional manner and presentation
- Ability to act with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality

Previous experience in organisations engaged in education or research would be an advantage.

**Remuneration**:Salary range is $88,923 to $97,924 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time appointment for 12 months to cover a staff member on secondment, with the possibility of renewal.
