The IMT Risk Adviser is a Line 1 role and provides advice to support the business unit to effectively manage risk of the IMT business unit. This includes ensuring the business unit meets its commitment to:

- integrate effective risk management practices across all levels of strategic and operational planning, processes, and performance reporting;
- embedding a culture of risk management and awareness in accordance with IMT’s Strategy;
- support the management of all types of risk for the business unit including cyber, legal, operational and strategic risk;

The IMT Risk Adviser reports to the IMT Risk Manager. The role collaborates with all levels of staff across IMT, to provide a whole-of-business unit view of risk and risk management practices.

The role provides training and support, analysis, and insights into IMT’s risk profile and guides continual improvement to promote better outcomes for the organisation and its clients.

**Your duties will include**:

- coordinate the implementation of the CSIRO Risk Framework within IMT;
- support Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) capability build;
- support the management of a central Risk Register for IMT;
- liaise with business owners, project managers, technical/operational risk leaders, among other relevant stakeholders to support the effective identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring, and review of risk across IMT;
- provide support for IMT Risk Committee;
- support IMT on any other risk committees including the enterprise-wide CSIRO Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC);

**Location**:Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Hobart preferred. Adelaide and Perth will be considered.

**Salary**:AU$105k
- AU$114k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:
**Essential**

1. Demonstrated understanding of governance, risk management, and quality improvement concepts;
2. Demonstrated experience in advising senior leadership staff in risk-related matters;
4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of systems within a complex service delivery environment; and

5. Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills, with an understanding of risk evaluation methodologies

**Desirable**

Desirable to have experience in participating in risk committees;
