**Position Details**

**Role**: Disability Support Worker
**Hours**: 15-20 hours per week (with potential for growth)
**Location**: Various Sydney locations (community and in-home support)
**Employment Type**: Casual

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide individualised community access support, including participation in social, recreational, and educational activities
- Support clients with light home-based tasks and schoolwork, encouraging skill development and autonomy
- Create a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment that empowers each client
- Assist clients to pursue their NDIS goals, encouraging independence, decision-making, and routine building
- Follow individualised care and behaviour support plans
- Document support activities, progress, and any observed changes in client wellbeing

**What We're Looking For**
- Minimum Qualification in Disability Support, Community Services, or related field
- Proven experience working with individuals with disability, autism, or psychosocial needs
- AIN - or nursing background highly considered but not required
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice
- Valid Driver’s Licence & Reliable Vehicle - essential for travel between support locations
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check - valid and recent
- Understanding of Mandatory Reporting obligations and a commitment to safeguarding vulnerable individuals
- Awareness of mental health conditions and ability to provide supportive, compassionate responses
- Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of confidentiality, and a professional, empathetic manner
