**The role**

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to champion a small team of Accounts Payable officers (AP). This role oversees the distribution of workloads among team members, completes AP senior tasks (payment loading, reporting, process improvements), and is the main point of contact for accounts payable escalations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Ongoing leadership, support & guidance to the AP team
- Management of day-to-day AP operations
- Ensuring all key accounts payable tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Completing and reviewing reporting related to AP transactions
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing existing procedures and assessing possible improvements to increase efficiency
- Actively participate in the development and testing of Accounts Payable related products and technologies

**The Person**

To be successful in this role you also will possess the following:

- Extensive experience in accounts payable functions with advanced reconciliation skills
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Involvement with process improvement and system improvement projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Intermediate level of Word and Excel
- Experience in leading and mentoring team is advantageous
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential
