**About the Assignment**

The primary objective of this position is to deliver quality and efficient transactional accounting and reporting services to key stakeholders of Santos, including the Asset Decision Support Teams, Functional Support, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Treasury, Production Allocation & Commercial.
- Business financial performance
- the financial impacts of key business decisions
- individual cost drivers
- recommend actions to improve financial performance

Tasks include:

- Prepare monthly Joint Venture expenditure statements and cash call requests.
- Prepare and post actual and accrual journals.
- Input operated and non-operated Joint Venture accounting and providing reports.
- Efficient generation and input of Sales Invoices.
- Calculate, lodge, and pay monthly and quarterly Overriding Royalties (ORR), Product Royalties and Primary Resource Rent Tax (PRRT).
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare audit data as required.
- Participate in process improvement projects across Finance

**About You**

Ideally you will demonstrate:

- Experience in financial analysis or related roles, preferably within the energy industry or a similar sector
- Experienced SAP User
- Advanced analytical skills in MS Excel
- The ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance professionals

**Mandatory Tickets / Quals / Certs**
- Completed professional qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent)
- Accounting, Commerce or similar Tertiary Degree
