The Infrastructure Directorate is the City of Stirling’s largest and most diverse Directorate, managing many of the City’s important assets and services while delivering a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects.

This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City’s sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling’s vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.

**About the Position**

Our Parks and Environment Business Unit is responsible for providing attractive, safe, and well-maintained parks, public spaces, and environment across the City. This role contributes to that goal by providing services including planting and watering street trees, staking, and tying trees, watering landscapes, mulching and formative tree pruning.

**Key Responsibilities**

The duties of the Turf Maintenance Operator will include but are not limited to:

- Undertaking routine or reactive maintenance works in accordance with turf maintenance schedules
- Ensure regular turf condition inspections on sites within your jurisdiction
- Demonstrate leadership qualities, with the intent to backfill the Team Leader positions as required.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will be safety focussed with substantial driving experience and will have an ‘MR’ Driver’s Licence. You will be proficient at customer service and will be able to work well as part of a team, taking pride in the standard of your own work and that of your team.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll possess the following skills and/or qualifications:

- Certificate in basic traffic management.
- “MR” Class Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to work with basic electronic data input regarding capturing information in a mobility device such as a phone or tablet.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 5 Outside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $70,970 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
