As a Packaging Specialist, you will provide expertise to the business in support of existing product packaging and use this expertise to help develop and introduce new packaging within our architectural coating business. You will drive quality improvement plans to improve manufacturing efficiencies and assist in coordinating and implementing product packaging projects across ANZ.

**Key Responsibilities****:

- Own the ANZ Architectural packaging process to achieve the business needs and critical initiatives.
- Handle and coordinate internal and external packaging projects and initiatives, including regular reviews of key projects with key suppliers as required.
- Lead the ANZ Architectural packaging product compliance and regulatory accountabilities in accordance with relevant market and national standards.
- Maintain knowledge of innovative technologies/processes relevant to the packaging platforms arising through PPG strategic research, technical literature, patents, and supplier contacts.
- Ensure all new and existing packaging meets statutory and PPG SH&E requirements and that all work group activities are conducted at all times in a safe manner by conforming to PPG SH&E policy requirements and Technical Support safety policies.

**Qualifications****:

- In-depth knowledge of packaging technology
- Process expert knowledge, including existing and potential new packaging and processes
- A tertiary degree in chemistry or chemical engineering or similar
- Strong digital literacy, analytical abilities, attention to detail, and presentation skills
- Extensive experience in project management - planning, organization, and documentation.

This position is an important part of PPG’s Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) Architectural Team. The ANZ Architectural team is responsible for iconic products and brands like Taubmans, White Knight, Johnstone’s and Bristol. We manufacture and supply high quality paint products locally to DIY and professional painters, whilst being backed and supported by the global expertise within PPG.
