**About the Role**
We are seeking a passionate **Health Promotion Officer** to join our team. This role will focus on developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion programs that support individuals and communities in making informed health choices. You will collaborate with stakeholders, facilitate educational initiatives, and contribute to creating a healthier, more inclusive society.
**Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and Implementing Health Promotion Programs**
- Design, implement, and evaluate health promotion initiatives tailored to the needs of individuals and communities.
- Identify target populations and develop strategies that align with their specific health priorities.
- Create engaging educational materials, workshops, and presentations to raise awareness about health and disability-related topics.
- Organize community events and activities to promote well-being and social inclusion.
**Encouraging Healthy Lifestyles and Well-Being**
- Advocate for healthier lifestyles, disease prevention, and overall well-being.
- Provide education and support on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, and mental well-being.
- Empower individuals to make informed choices about their health through evidence-based interventions.
**Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement**
- Work closely with health professionals, community organizations, and government agencies to support health promotion initiatives.
- Build and maintain partnerships to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
- Communicate complex health information in an accessible and engaging manner to diverse audiences.
**Research and Continuous Improvement**
- Stay updated with the latest research, policies, and best practices in health promotion and community engagement.
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to measure program impact and improve future initiatives.
- Use data and evidence to support decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of health programs.
**Key Requirements**
- Qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Health, or a related field.
- Experience in planning and delivering health education programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including community groups, health professionals, and government agencies.
- Passion for improving health outcomes and advocating for inclusive communities.
- Knowledge of disability services and NDIS (desirable but not essential).
