Patient Finance Liaison Officer- Patient Services

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- The PFLO is a patient engagement role that works closely with the Werribee Mercy Hospital Billings and Receivables team and requires the ability to build strong relationships with patients and internal and external stake holders.
- The PFLO is responsible for:

- Identifying and liaising with Private, Compensable and Medicare Ineligible patients at all admission entry points
- Confirming Medicare, Health Fund and Compensable eligibility
- Preparing Informed Financial Consent Forms
- Assisting patients to make an informed election
- Performing a wide range of administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy

**ABOUT YOU**:

- To be successful in the role you will:_
- Have previous PFLO experience or appropriate education / experience within a similar role (essential)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry (essential)
- Experience with Patient Management Systems (iPM) (desirable)
- Proven ability to communicate with patients, staff and billing agents at all levels and of diverse backgrounds
- Sound interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to quality service delivery and ability to promote a professional and caring image
