Technical Change Manager

Uptec is searching for a dedicated NV1 Technical Change Manager to join our team and oversee the effective implementation and management of changes within our technical operations. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all technical changes are assessed, authorized, and implemented with mínimal disruption to our services. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to define change requirements, assess risks, and develop comprehensive change management plans. Your leadership will be key in establishing guidelines and best practices for technical changes, ensuring that they align with the overall business strategy.

**Requirements**:

- Create and maintain a schedule of planned technical changes required for Project Mercury and regularly communicate the information to both MSFT and Defence team members including TCAB and DCAB for awareness.
- Request access to the Defence Change Management tool to support the raising and amendments of technical change requests.
- Work with the Microsoft team to draft Implementation Plans.
- Work with the Defence Change Manager to raise the Change Requests into the system and follow the process to obtain change approvals within the timeline specified in the Project Schedule to allow the technical team to commence their technical work on time.
- Regularly communicate with the project manager and report on change progress and issues. - Work with the Test Manager to include any required testing sequence required for change request submissions.
- Work with the Test Manager to discuss and plan any change requests needed for failed test remediation.
- Work with the Hypercare team when incidents are raised that require remediation. Raise the changes as appropriate. Track and report on progress or issues.
- Work as directed by the Microsoft Project Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the change management process for technical operations, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess change needs and provide recommendations based on impact analysis.
- Develop and maintain change management plans, including risk assessments and communication strategies.
- Monitor the implementation of changes and evaluate their effectiveness through predefined metrics.
- Facilitate change advisory board meetings and maintain documentation for all change requests.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within change management practices.
- Train and support team members and stakeholders on change management procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Active NV1 security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in change management, particularly within technical environments.
- Excellent understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct impact assessments.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with change management tools and software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
