**PRODUCT MANAGER - ALEXANDRIA, NSW**

**About the Role**
Apex Tool Group (ATG) is on the lookout for a driven, dynamic, and enthusiastic Product Manager to join our team The role is pivotal in bridging the work of our teams to the commercial objectives of the Product team - so, we are looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude

In this role you’ll be responsible for developing new product opportunities and working with the global product team to launch new and innovative products into the Australian market. You will be essential in supporting the delivery of marketing programs and execution plans to drive growth and profitability.
Reporting to our Head of Product and Channel Manager, you’ll be based at our Alexandria Head Office.

- Ongoing maintenance of current & new range portfolio.
- Discover and leverage user insights that will improve existing products and expose new product and technology opportunities.
- Effectively plan and manage product costing and retail pricing for the channel and identify ways to improve costs and drive sales & profitability.
- Establish pricing models that meet required profit margins.
- Maintain an understanding of the industry market landscape to guide new product development and range assortment.
- Attend Trade shows and visit suppliers and manufacturers.
- Report on category, channel and product performance.
- Liaise with colleagues to support creation of quality content and maintenance of websites.
- Act as product and brand champion

- Strong research skills and ability to stay ahead of the curve in a competitive market.
- You are approachable and can effectively build rapport
- You love to be a problem solver -able to independently problem-solve and know when to ask for support.
- You have strong time management and project management skills
- Highly driven and motived to achieve targets and deadlines.
- You are collaborative and a team player
- You are dedicated and passionate about culture, design and production

**Skills & Experience Requirements**
- 2+ years in a Product Management role (or similar).
- Marketing (or business) qualification.
- Demonstrated desire in understanding strategic and robust concepts that drive lead generation and sales.
- Natural desire/ skill to understand human psychology and buying tendencies.
- Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft office.
- A knowledge of hand tools is highly advantageous (Preferred not essential)
