Our business is growing and we are now able to take on a Junior Crew Member

Last year, in the lead up to Christmas, we had a Junior on board working along side our Senior Crew Member. This proved to be a great asset. Our Junior was successful in obtaining an apprenticeship so we are now on the lookout for another young adult to join our crew.

Both females and males are encouraged to apply. In fact, our Founder is a woman and she would love to nurture a female looking to work in the trades. So girls, don't be shy

**What you'd be doing**:
You will be working approximately 6hrs per day, for about 4 days per week. This is flexible and will depend on if you have study commitments and what jobs we have on at the time. You will work along side our Senior Crew Member who will mentor you in the work that we do. This is not a trade, however if you are thinking about doing an apprenticeship in the future, this would be a great 'taster' for working in the sector.

Examples of the work you will be doing are:

- Loading and unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies
- Prep work such as sanding, pressure washing, scrubbing decks.
- Some brush work oiling and painting decks - as your skills develop you will be exposed to more brush work
- Minor deck repairs such as replacing decking boards
- Demolition and dump runs (pulling up old decking boards)
- Tidying up job site
- Washing work vehicles
- Tidying up supplies

**Who would this job be good for?**
- High school students who have an arrangement with their school to combine schooling and employment
- Young adults who do not wish to complete their senior schooling
- Young adults on their 'Gap Year'
- Young adults who have just finished school and are considering a trade

**Transport**

We get that you may not yet to have a drivers licence. If you are unable to get a lift to work then we may be able to organise this for you.
