**A LITTLE ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are currently seeking a highly motivated
- **Purchasing Specialist **to join our Supply Chain team within our
- **NSW Branch.**

The primary responsibility of this role is to plan and execute purchasing plans for allocated categories on time in the right locations.
- This role is for IMMEDIATE commencement for the right applicant.
- Wetherill Park location. On site parking. Hybrid work model.

**MORE SPECIFICALLY YOU WILL**
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensuring purchased items are timeously secured and available to meet sales demands and allow for the execution of scheduled manufacturing activities.
- Confirming the status of scheduled &/or open purchase orders and taking appropriate actions when required.
- Managing the shipment arrival notices from freight forwarders and maintenance of delivery dates in AX ensuring warehouse teams are given notice as to pending deliveries to be made each week.
- Liaising with the Planning Manager/Master Scheduler to confirm raw material and packaging availability to meet scheduled production requirements.
- Identifying, correcting &/or communicating to key stake holders if key item master data/planning parameters are incorrect or absent in AX. i.e. BOM’s, lead times, order multiple, dimensional data, inventory inaccuracies etc.
- Identifying issues impacting on workflow, engaging with key stake holders to review, problem solve & implement actions to enhance purchasing activities to ensure customer DIFOT expectations are met.
- Optimisation of inventory levels for purchased items (inclusive of safety stocks) to ensure inventory availability to enhance customer service levels & minimise inventory obsolescence.

**A LITTLE ABOUT YOU**

To be successful within this role, you will:

- Have a minimum three (3) years of hands on experience in a Planning and Purchasing environment.
- Have previous experience in collaborating in an S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) environment.
- Have advanced Excel skills.
- Have the ability to work on multiple projects or issues simultaneously.
- Be detail-oriented, highly organised and possess strong analytical skills.
- Be an advocate in building & strengthening internal/external business relationships.
- Possessing an APICS or similar Professional Certification is highly regarded._
