**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Management Lead to play a pivotal role in a major ERP implementation. Located in our Adelaide head office, you will lead the Master Data and Transactional Data stream of the project across the breadth of the Stratco business.
You will own and drive this workstream, establishing processes, identifying and articulating deliverables, helping to define project activities and plans and managing execution. You will understand master data management processes and you will establish a strong data architecture, that will set Stratco up for success.
You will also be responsible for data preparation in readiness for go-live and verification of transformed data. You will demonstrate strong ownership of the data function and will serve as an escalation point for the team; you will be a champion of best practice and lead and coach the team and the broader business on good practice and the importance of correctly managing data.
Reporting into the Transformation Project Director, you will work closely with the project SMEs and the implementation partner, to understand the business requirements and solution design and define data requirements. You will also work closely with end users across the entire Stratco business to understand, interpret and distil their current data set-up and future data requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the Data function of the project, which includes Master Data and Transactional Data.
- Analyse existing and define future-state Master Data structures and hierarchies across various domains including Product, Supplier and Customer.
- Own and drive data quality and governance across the business.
- Identify, recommend and implement best practice processes for ongoing data management.
- Serve as an escalation point for master data and transactional data queries and decisions.
- Communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop status updates and contribute to program-level reporting.
- Champion good practice and coach peers on the importance of good data management.
**Skills, Experience and Attributes**:
- Expert in data with at least 7 years of data management experience.
- Demonstrated experience establishing processes to effectively manage master and transactional data.
- Ability to both lead the workstream and provide direction to the team and where necessary, take a hands-on role.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in delivering enterprise-wide process or technology change initiatives strongly preferred.
