**About the role**:
Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Leading the electrical maintenance team and overseeing their development, training, payroll etc.
- Execute planned electrical maintenance tasks like electrical inspection of switch gears, power cable works
- Provide technical support to the electrical team in fault finding and analysis of complex problems to prevent interruptions to operation or plant shutdown
- Work with the leading hands and help them to plan the jobs and get the work done
- Identify the root causes of plant and equipment breakdowns and implement countermeasures
- Contribute to maintenance budgeting and management of costs to achieve the maintenance budget outcome
- Responsible for the safe and reliable operation of all the electrical equipment within the Sydney meltshop

**About your experience**:
You are someone who values teamwork, safety, continuous improvement and has a strong desire to operate at a fast pace to ensure the team succeeds. You will lead the drive towards achieving maintenance ‘best practice’ and world class asset availability.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience in people leadership and people management is essential
- Electrical Supervisors or Electrical Leaders ticket or licence is good to have
- Experience in hands-on industrial electrical work
- Background in manufacturing or heavy industry is desirable but not essential
- Ability to solve problems and work in and lead teams

**InfraBuild’s Steel Manufacturing** business unit operates world-class state-of-the-art Steelmaking facilities in Sydney, Newcastle & Melbourne. Operating two electric arc furnaces and four rod and bar rolling mills we use local materials to produce high quality steel products.
