Anglicare Children's Services are leading providers of high quality education and care, by providing support and loving service to children and families, particularly those most in need within our community.
Are you an experienced Early Childhood Educator with experience in Centre Leadership and management and guiding a team toward excellence? We are seeking an individual who is passionate about service administration and implementation, in supporting the governance of an Early Childhood Service.
We provide early childhood education and care curriculums to children from 6 weeks old to eight years old and are located within the Southern Cross Early Childhood School in Scullin. The children in attendance in our programs often commence with us as babies, and finish at the end of Year 2, allowing you 8 years to witness their growth and development. This fosters amazing high-quality, long term relationships within the community, including those with the families and the Education Directorate in which we share environments. We are uniquely situated to provide education to children in the most stunning outdoor learning environment an early childhood service has to offer in Canberra.
Your role would be to directly support the daily operations of Southern Cross, working closely with the Director, and the Accounts Administration Team. Your social and communication skills need to be exceptional, and you must be able to make decisions quickly in the best interest of the service.
Your knowledge on Early Childhood Compliance is thorough and up to date, as you will need to ensure the service remains within the regulations at all times. This position is fast paced and dynamic, you must be able to work with educators, families, and the school, and can juggle this effectively.
As a part of Anglicare's commitment to supporting continuity and care for the children and families, you will work on a flexible roster between the hours of 7:30 am and 6:00 pm within your contracted hours, up to 8 hours a day maximum. You will work in consultation and negotiation within service requirements to adopt a reasonable work/life balance.
To be successful in this role you must hold a minimum of a Diploma in Early Education and Care or equivalent is required to be eligible for this role.
The salary range for this position is $35.86 to $36.70 per hour plus 10.5% employer superannuation guarantee. Generous salary packaging benefits are available under Anglicare's PBI status. Anglicare also offers other benefits including additional personal leave and paid parental leave.
