We currently have an opportunity for **four** **Demand Forecasting Specialists **to join the **National Replenishment and Forecasting team** reporting into the **National Forecast Manager **based at **Macquarie Park.**

As the **Demand Forecasting Specialist, **you are responsible for the Micro level forecasting of all DC level items in Food to the required forecast accuracy targets.
This includes baseline, promotional, new line forecasting, effective stakeholder and query management, and seasonality.

**What you’ll do**
- Drive forecast accuracy above set KPI’s via historical reviews that result in an enhanced, and demonstratable improvement on the system suggested forecasts for all states and customers
- Review baseline forecast exceptions and implement changes that drive forecast accuracy to your category targets
- Own the promotional forecast accuracy for your categories through effective stakeholder engagement, category knowledge, and efficient review processes
- For non-integrated customers groups, manage the promotional forecast through review of customer insights and upload information. Manage these promotions to a required target
- In partnership with Trading Managers, Supply Managers, Stock Control Managers, and State Buyers, responsible for new line forecast creation including the vetting of new line forecast estimates
- Manage to a response SLA all forecast queries from the supply and customer teams
- Represent Metcash Food in relevant Supplier and/or Customer meetings on Forecasting and forecast accuracy
- Manage demand transference due to pricing, clearance, long term out of stocks, ranging changes, etc.
- Partner with the Demand Analyst to ensure consensus forecasts are effectively managed

**What you’ll bring**
- Extensive experience in demand planning in an achievement driven environment
- Strong Demand Planning skills preferably in FMCG
- Experience in, or working with, complex supply chains
- Experience in Blue Yonder or like forecasting system
- Stakeholder management and relationship building irrespective of geographic locations
- Professional Communication skills
- Excellent Problem solving including 'outside the box' solutions
- Strong organisation skills with an eye for detail
- Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Excel
